The Diploma in Islamic Psychology

The Diploma in Islamic Psychology is a rigorous 9-month online program composed of three 10-week terms of a blend of synchronous and asynchronous classes. Developed in partnership with Khalil Center- the leading Islamic psychological center in the United States- graduates of the program will be awarded a Diploma in Islamic Psychology.

Your most recent transcript in the field of Psychology (student/unofficial copies are accepted).
A Personal Statement. Your Statement of Purpose is not limited to, but should address, the following three questions:
1. How has your education or life experience prepared you for this program?
2. What do you hope to get out of the program?
3. How does the program fit into your life goals?
Your CV.
A picture of yourself.
Proof of Islamic Studies from a formal Islamic Studies institution. Alternatively, a list of texts studied, signed and certified by your teacher.
One reference: can include teachers, professors, supervisors, mentors, shuyukh, etc. An automatic e-mail will be sent to your referees for an English evaluation.
Candidate requirements
Below are the requirements for applicants to be eligible for the Diploma in Islamic Foundations:
Applicant must show proof of English proficiency, either by being previously educated in an English-speaking institution or by submitting a certificate such as TOEFL.
Applicant must have a formal background in Islamic Studies equivalent to Usul Academy’s Diploma in Islamic Foundations.
Applicant should have graduated from or be currently enrolled in a formal degree in Psychology, or a practitioner in the field of Psychology.
Tuition Terms
The tuition fee for the entire 9-month program is $5,100 USD.
Students can chose to pay $1,700 USD prior to the beginning of each term of $5,100 USD upfront. Upfront payments are eligible for a 5% discount.
Students cannot be refunded for a term they have been enrolled in.
Financial Aid
A very limited number of scholarships are available for a number of students who show proof of merit and financial need. Students from underserved communities will be prioritzed.
