Tuition & Aid

Usul Academy is committed to serving the most academically qualified applicants into the BA & MA programs, regardless of their financial situation .

Tuition Fees

Payment Method

Usul Academy offers two payment tracks:

1) Whole-year (entire tuition paid upfront). Students who select the whole-year track receive a 5% discount off the tuition cost.

2) One payment per term  (one-third of the full tuition paid before the start of each semester).

Accommodations for students who need additional time or alternative payment schedules may be granted, in exceptional cases, and only upon immediate notification of the Student Registrar Officer, in writing, by the student upon receipt of acceptance.

Refunds

Students are not entitled for a refund for a term they have paid and enrolled in should they decide to withdraw . I.e. if a student pays for and enrolls in Term I courses, the student will not be refunded the amount paid for the term should they decide to withdraw during the term time. However, if a student pays the yearly tuition upfront, they will be refunded for the terms they have not enrolled in.

Students who are forced to withdraw due to special circumstances (e.g. ill health, death, etc.) will be considered on a case-by-case basis and at the sole discretion of the Academy. Refunds will be considered accordingly.

Financial Assistance

BA & MA Program

Usul Academy offers a range of need and merit-based scholarships for academically outstanding applicants to the BA and MA programs. To qualify for financial assistance, students must apply through the form available on the application page of the program. Students’ financial status does not affect their acceptance into the program whatsoever.

Usul Academy does not offer scholarships for non-matriculated Academic Arabic applicants (i.e., students who apply to Academic Arabic independently) or Islamic Foundation applicants.

Family Discount

Family discounts of 15% (for a 2nd family member), 25% (for a 3rd family member), and 35% for every member after that are available for both matriculated and non-matriculated students only if there is undue financial hardship and so long as the first family member is enrolled. If the first family member withdraws from the program, the remaining members will be re-ordered, and the discounts will be applied accordingly. Students can receive only one type of discount, i.e., a need-based scholarship or a family discount.
